Today is a legal holiday, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, and classes are not in session.

Tuesday
Invisible Man class discussion on Prologue and Chapters One-Five is scheduled for Friday.
Bedford Reader Huntington piece responses (M 1, 2; WS 1, 3; L 1) are due today; Bedford Reader is due in class for next assigned reading selection.
The Language of Composition text is due in class today for continuation of the lesson on appositives; this text will be used second semester (February 14) for preparation for the upcoming Advanced Placement English Language examination in May.
Literary terms from Bedford Reader are assigned with test scheduled for Thursday in class.
Chief Seattle and Affluenza scored essays are returned to students.

Wednesday
Vocabulary Workshop Unit Seven answers are due Thursday with test to be scheduled Friday before Invisible Man class discussion.
Five Steps to a Five multiple choice work is scheduled in class.
Students must complete account information online for turnitin.com synthesis essay on "Veils," and begin writing the essay; check due dates on your turnitin.com account page.

Thursday
Vocabulary Workshop Unit Seven answers are due in class today; test is scheduled for Monday.
Everything's An Argument and Five Steps to a Five work is scheduled for classwork today.
Literary terms 71-80 from Bedford Reader are tested today.

Friday

Invisible Man Prologue and Chapters One-Five class discussion is scheduled for today.
Weekend homework will be announced.
