Monday November 28
INSTRUCTIONS FOR MONDAY, NOVEMBER 28
1.  Both papers assigned (see below) are hard copy responses, which may be typed or handwritten before scoring with the AP generic rubric
2.  Students are to study the rhetorical terms and devices handout previously completed as homework to ascertain whether any or all rhetorical terms and devices are present in the Lincoln Second Inaugural speech handout provided to students; this can be an oral conversation in class and does NOT require specific written responses EXCEPT that students should notate which rhetorical terms and devices are applicable
3.  Write responses directly on the Water Case Three test provided with the handout

STUDENTS WHO WERE ABSENT ON FRIDAY BEFORE THE BREAK WILL NOT HAVE HANDOUTS AND HOMEWORK THAT WAS DISTRIBUTED ON THAT DAY; YOU MAY CHECK WITH A CLASSMATE, WITH PARENT PERMISSION OF PARENTS OF BOTH THE STUDENT REQUESTING AND PROVIDING THE ASSISTANCE, TO BE PREPARED FOR MONDAY'S HOMEWORK THAT IS DUE; IF ANY OF THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS ARE NOT RECEIVED BY END OF DAY MONDAY, THE ASSIGNMENTS WILL RECEIVE LATE FAIL POINTS
REGULAR ATTENDANCE IN AN AP CLASS IS CRITICAL TO ACADEMIC SUCCESS!

Lincoln Second Inaugural Speech preparation for timed writing on Thursday is scheduled Monday-Wednesday; SBAC rubric for timed writing distributed in class
Words High School Students Should Know (WHSSSK) Words 61-70 due in class today; test is scheduled Wednesday
Their Eyes Were Watching God dialectical journals for Chapters Six-Ten and novels are required for class discussion on Friday
"Orientation" responses are distributed for class discussion; Bedford Reader is required in class for Judith Ortiz Cofer's "Silent Dancing" assignment due Wednesday
Glossary terms 21-30 from Five Steps to a Five reviewed in class; test is scheduled tomorrow
