Unit I-III Vocabulary Workshop assignment is due on Tuesday; test was originally scheduled for Thursday but instead will be Monday, October 26; test is a cumulative review exam for Units I-III

Bedford Reader is required for classes on Monday-Tuesday; the outline for Part III of Bedford Reader will be due on Tuesday, October 20. An initial nonfiction selection from either Bedford Reader or Language of Composition will be covered in class early in the week and an assignment made. Additional literary terms will be covered in class and a quiz scheduled.

Talking points for Chapters Sixteen-Twenty of Their Eyes Were Watching God are due on Friday for our usual class discussion; those students who did not earn discussion points last week will be given an opportunity on Monday as we finish up Chapters Eleven-Fifteen.

Writer's Choice
textbooks are due in class on Wednesday for grammar review; the sentence diagramming assignment will be retaught since many students were on field trips or taking the PSAT exam last week.

The next AP Essay, featuring prompt and passage from writer James Baldwin, will be scheduled for Thursday as an in-class timed writing assignment. Prewriting will collected on Monday and students will not see the prompt again until the in-class timed essay.
